About some aspects reformation of local self-government in Ukraine
Abstract: There are analyzed ways of reforming local governments in Ukraine. Principal causes of stopping a transformation of Ukraine into a parliament presidential republic are given: an excessive centralization of power, an inefficient organization of power at the regional level, incapable local governments. An international experience of local government was analyzed. A focus is on positive sides of an optimum parity between the government and local governments. The legislation concerning local government is analyzed, its lacks being revealed and ways of its improvement being suggested. There are listed ways of reforming the system of local government: reduction of local government authorities, delimitation of authorities between district and region public administrations, an increase of efficiency of managerial services given to the population by local public administration.
