Financial strength is a key to financial sustainability of the economic system

Annotation: The questions of meaning and essence of the financial self-sufficiency of the economic system have been considered. A comparative analysis of the nature concepts of «balance», «self-sufficiency», «self- sufficiency» has been done. The author’s definition of financial selfsufficiency of the economic system has been suggested. The theoretical study of the constituent elements of financial self-sufficiency has been carried out, the place and role of the financial capacity of the economic system have been determined and its components have been formulated and their detailed characterization has been given. An equation of financial selfsufficiency of the economic system has been formulated, a detailed transcript of the components of the equation has been given and the each part of the equations has been analysed. The estimation basis for the formation and functioning of the financial sustainability of the equation has been given. The proposed approach of the formation of the financial capacity of the region has been used while the evaluation of a financial potencial in Donetsk region. The analytical study of the financial capacity of the Donetsk region, using official statistics has been carried out.
