Abstract: The article considers a historical retrospective of state food security management in the DPR. The article reveals the problems that the DPR state administration system faced in the initial period of its independence, and individual management decisions that made it possible to level the impact of these problems and increase the level of food security in the country. It was emphasized that joining the Russian Federation not only expanded the capabilities of the DPR, but also increased the requirements for ensuring food security in the region. It is proved that a strategically important tool for the development of the information and communication mechanism of state food security management is the creation of the Information and communication center for intersectoral cooperation in ensuring food security of the DPR (ICS). It is proved that the ICS is organically integrated into the existing system of training and making managerial decisions, and its implementation meets the strategic goals of socio-economic development of Russia.
