The importance of the creative industries for development of city economics

Abstract: The role of the creative sector of economics for the development of cities of the post-industrial period is shown. The transformation regularity of European city’s economics directed to creative industries, on the examples of Helsinki, Berlin, Sankt-Petersburg, Manchester, Milan, Barcelona is reviewed. The world tendencies of creative industries influence on the social-economic rebirth of the city are investigated.
