The main directions of regional economic development

Abstract: The agro-industrial complex of Ukraine as priority branch of economy and national economic basis, its problems and prospects of development under the conditions of transitional economy of our state have been considered in this article. The interrelated key trends of strategy and tactics of agro-industrial complex reforms, preconditions of implementation of effective conversions of the branch and the developed countries experience of the agro-industrial complex sector have been also designated in the paper. The problems concerned the favourable climate for the investment activity in Ukraine, the ways of management imperfection of agricultural holdings and the part, influence and participation of governmental authorities in activities of such kind of holdings have been revealed as a whole. The paper enables to estimate the state of AIC in our country completely today.
