Industrial city economy diversification as mode of investment activity increase

Annotation: The economy diversification necessity of industrial cities has been proved in the paper. The economy diversification trends of Makeyevka (Donetsk Oblast) based on the SWOT-analysis have been determined. The types of activities need to be maintained (mining, coke production, metallurgy), to be developed (civil engineering, logistics, agriculture, manufacture of machinery and equipment for mining, food products, wood products), to be manufactured (textile manufacture, municipal solid waste processing, commercial methane production, complex processing of waste banks, LED lamps manufacturing) have been determined. The measures to increase investment activities of the following trends: promotion to the structural cluster implementation, elaboration of investment projects (business plans) and their informative support, assistance in investors’ involvement (granting of privileges, preferences), etc have been proposed. Diversification and investment activity increase in the municipal economy have to promote to its development and improvement of the population life quality.
