Department of sustainable development regions in Ukraine (in the context of russian and foreign experience)

T. I. Saliy

Donetsk State University of Management

Annotation: In this paper the problems of governance for sustainable development of the regions in Ukraine in the context of Russian and foreign experience have been researched. It is proved that the management of sustainable regional socio-economic systems is carried out within the framework of regional policy, which is a legally formalized system of legal, organizational, institutional, financial and economic measures that determine the activities of national public authorities, their territorial bodies, local self-government, business associations and other civil society institutions. Regional socio-economic policy in Ukraine is still being formed. The theoretical model of regional policy, in my opinion, must meet the following requirements: long duration; adaptability; close connection with the forward-looking program of social and economic development of Ukraine; complexity, focus on the economic, political and social development of the regions, ensuring the priority of national interests.

Keywords: regional policy, sustainable development of the regions, the management of sustainable development, economic integration, social integration, partnership, subsidiarity.
