Abstract: In the article the prediction process has been systematized through the use of strategic analysis of economic systems development. Three levels of vertical management, that produce the strategy and programs of development of economic systems, have been distinguished. Directions of activity and functions of macroeconomic planning and prediction in the management structure have been presented. Main macroeconomic system and the major problems with possible ways of their overcoming have been distinguished and formed. Built a strategic map of the relationship of micro-system (the industry subject) with macro-systems (factors of influence), that is designed for calculating predictive measures for the future. The proposals for the application of methods of strategic analysis for prediction of economic systems development with elements of economic modeling have been offered.
