Information System of The Provision of State and Municipal Services

Annotation: In the context of modern challenges, the development of a system of providing state and municipal services faces the imperfection of information support for the process of making managerial decisions. This is due not only to the reliability and speed of updating information, but also to the lack of generally accepted methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness of using information resources of state authorities and local governments. The article considers the increasing role of providing public authorities with information resources, as well as mechanisms for their rational distribution and evaluation of use. The essence of the concept «information system» is disclosed in the context of the functioning of government bodies. Distinctions of the information system of providing public services at the state and municipal levels are noted, as well as recommendations for optimizing this process and improving the efficiency of the public information management system.
