Assessment of the Socio-Economic Development of the Regionas a Component of Indicative Development Management

Annotation: The article suggests a methodology for an integrated indicative assessment of the socio-economic development of the region in order to ensure the sustainability of such development. The author’s methodology is based on the principles of indicative management; is based on the application of a system of indicators-indicators of development, intervals of threshold values; is a step-by-step process for assessing the social and economic development of the region using a 3-level hierarchical system of indicators; takes into account the contribution of each factor (aspect of social or economic development) to sustainable development; allows to identify «strong» and «problem» areas of social and economic development of the region; gives an opportunity on the basis of numerical value to assess the stability (degree of instability) of the socio-economic development of the region on a scale with three intervals: normal (stable) development, there is a risk of loss of stability, a critical instability. The analysis of the results obtained in the dynamics allows estimating the volatility of development indicators.
