The Role of Public in the Monitoring of Public Authorities’ Services

Annotation: The theoretical and methodological approaches defining the role of the public in monitoring the provision of public services are summarized and systematized in the article. It is proved that the territorial community as the main consumer of public services has the right to request that it had received the services were of good quality and in sufficient quantity. The article pointed out that the lack of effective and transparent mechanisms for the provision of public services, and feedback channels give rise to a number of problems that reduce the quality of service of the population and, as a result, the level of trust in the authorities. The research allowed to argue that the active involvement of the public in the process of social control the quality of public services, in particular in the monitoring of government services, will greatly improve the mechanism of public services, thereby contributing to improving the level and quality of life in the territory.
